Day 1 - April 16, 2025

Workshop 1: Introduction to Reading Scientific Papers
Location: Conference Room
Learn techniques for efficiently reading and understanding research papers, and writing effective summaries.

Time for prayer and dinner
Challenge 1: Summarize 1 Paper
Location: Study Room (2nd Floor)
- Each team receives 1 scientific paper
- Task: Write a comprehensive summary
- Mentors will be available to clarify difficult terms

Workshop 2: Simplifying Complex Scientific Concepts
Location: Conference Room
Learn techniques for explaining complex ideas to non-specialists in clear, accessible language.

Challenge 2: Summarize Papers in a Video
Location: Study Room
- Teams receive 2 interconnected papers and one question
- Read the papers and write a script to answer the question in easy terms
- Create an explanation video of duration between 2 and 3 minutes
- Submit MP4 file

Workshop 3: How to Convince People in a Debate
Location: Conference Room
Learn effective techniques for constructing convincing arguments and presenting them in a panel discussion format.
Day 3 - April 18, 2025

Challenge 3: Explain and Debate a Paper in a Panel Discussion
Location: Study Room
- Teams receive a controversial paper
- Research opposing evidence
- Prepare arguments for the panel discussion
- Submit any presentations before the deadline

Time for Jumua prayer
Panel Discussion
Location: Conference Room
- Each team must have one representative in the panel discussion
- A moderator will pose challenging questions
- Teams will present their arguments and debate the scientific topic
Closing Ceremony
Location: Conference Room
- Presentation of awards
- Jury feedback for all teams
- Closing remarks
Important Notes
- All participants must be present for the entire duration of the event.
- All participants must bring their student ID.
- Teams should bring their own laptops.
- Lunch and Dinner will be provided during the event from the residency.
